The release date and price for Sony Xperia Z which is one of the two handsets set to make their debut at CES have been revealed. Sony Xperia Z, formerly known as Yuga, is featuring a 13.1 mega pixel camera and an Exmor RS sensor for mobile. This device has features that make it really durable in dust and water. It has a 5 inch TFT touch screen with 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution.
The gadget will come up with network operators, Vodafone, O2 and Three. Three has already started accepting pre- orders from 1st February. Earlier, rumors were there in the market that this smartphone will be released between the middle of February and March, but Three suddenly came up giving a firm date for its release.
The device will be made available to the customers on Vodafone and Three from 28th February. It can be pre- ordered from these network operators and will be available on Pay As You Go scheme for £449. There is also an incentive scheme provided by Three, it is giving a pair of Sony MDR- 1R prestige headphone worth £299 to the first 1000 pre orders received on it.
Three has handsets available for their customers in black and white color. It gives them an option for 24 months agreement on the ultimate Internet 500 plans for £ 34 per month and an upfront payment of £ 69. O2, on the other hand, is providing Sony Xperia Z in black and purple color with a plan of £ 47 per month on 24 months agreement.
Sony itself is also taking pre- orders for the device with Sim- free for a payment of £ 529. Three has become the first retailer to bring Sony Xperia to the customers in UK, although many other retailers have also opened with the gadget after the price and release date is leaked.
