According to the reports, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update has started rolling out for Google Nexus devices. This latest version of OS is available for Google Nexus 4 and Galaxy Nexus devices. Also, an update is available for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets. However, the problem that was being faced by the users in the previous version is still there.
The users were facing a problem of rebooting without warning in the previous version of this operating system. This updated software was expected to fix this problem and has succeeded in doing so to some extend. Although, it could be seen that there are still unexpected crashes found.
The update was first reported by a Reddit user, who posted a screenshot which confirmed that his smartphone was running on Android 4.2.2. Many owners of Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 also claimed to have received an update soon after this screenshot was posted.
However, the research did not reveal anything about the availability of the update for Nexus 4, but it seems that it will be made available for those devices very soon. It has been reported that the update will improve the performance and stability of your devices.
Users were facing an issue with Android 4.2.1 i.e. whenever they tried to stream music over Bluetooth, it was interrupted. Now, with this update this problem though is not resolved completely but is fixed to some extent. There is a security feature provided in this OS that makes it difficult for others to compress the data off your phone by using USB debugging. However, this security feature is not easily understandable to all.
Google has not introduced this update for every device that is running on Android. However, not having an update of the latest version is not a problem for many users. According to the latest figures from Google, there are 1.4 per cent of total Android devices that are running on Jelly Bean 4.2 and around 13.6 per cent are running on any of the version of Jelly Bean.
